We all have potential. We all have agency. And – whether we admit it or not – we’re always part of the problem, and part of the solution. Small changes in us can cause big impacts on outcomes, whether at work or home. But…
Change is hard to do on your own.
It’s easier with a partner. As your coach, I can be that thinking partner – someone to think out loud with, who also brings helpful encouragements, checks, challenges, and a bit of a laugh sometimes too.
Coaching offers valuable and confidential space, time, support and challenge to help you find the best solutions to your own problems. I listen well, and ask questions that provoke your very best thinking, to help you choose a direction, then get closer to what you really want.
Coaching works.
I’m passionate about coaching because I know – from my own experience and others’ – the return on investment is disproportionate. Because the work can involve transforming beliefs and behaviours, it can lead to more content and ambitious people, more capable leaders, and more functional teams and organisations.
Everyone deserves coaching, but I’m particularly passionate about…
- Helping newly promoted leaders be intentional about how they show up with their teams
- Helping established leaders communicate better with their teams and organisations
- Helping leaders work through knotty team and culture problems
- Supporting ambitious people working towards promotion
- Helping younger people navigate their careers and understand and demonstrate their potential
My approach
You set the direction, and bring whatever you need to think through. I’ll listen, to anything you tell me, without judgement. And I’ll bring all my resources to create a space where you can do the best thinking of your life and unlock more than you thought was possible.
I always have a ‘chemistry’ conversation before we agree on a coaching relationship. It’s a free, no-obligation conversation for us to get to know each other, you to ask questions about coaching and about me, and to talk about what you’re looking to get from coaching. It’s usually 30-45 minutes, over the phone or video.
If you choose to work with me, we’ll agree a package of three or more sessions up front, and determine if we’ll meet online or in person. I may offer some questions to consider before the first session. A coaching session is usually 90 minutes.
A bit about me
I studied Sociology at Degree level because cultures, and ideas that become movements have always fascinated me. I started my career in philanthropy and global communications at Dyson, advising Sir James Dyson, several CEOs and other executive leaders on internal and external communications. After eight years in communications, two of them leading global communications from the US HQ in Chicago, I moved into human resources. From there, I applied my hard-earned communication skills to shape organisational culture and employee experiences.
In all this work, I was at my best advising, coaching or mentoring graduates, CEOs and all levels in between.
In 2018 I started working with businesses to improve their cultures and increase performance as an employee experience, culture and communications consultant.
I’m optimistic, caring, and apply courage in my work. Integrity is really important to me. I’m a communicator by background, so I always try to be clear and to the point; no lofty waffle here. I’m also a voracious reader and podcast-listener, and a Governor at my children’s infant school.
